... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
6 PM MDT Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snowfall, which is in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MDT Tuesday.

* Timing... snow will begin this evening and continue through
Tuesday afternoon. Heaviest accumulations will most likely occur
this evening and overnight.

* Total snow accumulations... 6 to 8 inches with up to 10 inches at
the higher peaks.

* Winds/visibility... visibility will most likely be less than a
quarter of a mile this evening and overnight. Wind speeds will
range from 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts up to 35 mph.

* Impacts... hazardous travel likely due to snow covered roads
and low visibility along the higher elevations of Interstate
80 west of Cheyenne. Those planning outdoor recreation in the
mountains should be prepared for snowy conditions and low
visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads
and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
