Flood Warning
Issued: 4:35 AM CDT May. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for the Mississippi River at Winona.
* Until late Saturday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:45 am Thursday the stage was 13.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage by Saturday morning.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... Prairie Island park begins to flood. Pumping
operations are underway by the city of Winona, and dike patrols are
started.

The Flood Warning continues for the Mississippi River at Wabasha.
* Until late Tuesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 4:15 am Thursday the stage was 12.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage by Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 12.5 feet... flooding occurs on the soccer field on
Hiawatha drive.

The Flood Warning continues for the Trempealeau River at Dodge.
* Until Friday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:45 am Thursday the stage was 9.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage by this evening.
* Impact... at 9.5 feet... the entrance Road to the Trempealeau National
Wildlife Refuge is flooded.

Areas of fog are possible through 7 am this morning across potions
of southeast Minnesota and southwest into north central Wisconsin.
Visibility may drop to 1/2 mile or less at times, especially within
river valleys and in the vicinity of Black River Falls. If traveling,
allow extra time to reach your destination as visibility may
rapidly change over short distances.

* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fall to near 12.0 feet after midnight tonight
and 11.5 feet by morning.
