Flood Warning
Issued: 11:49 AM CDT Oct. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for the Nueces River near Bluntzer.
* Until further notice, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8 am Monday, the stage was 21.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast: the river will remain at or near 21.8 feet through
Saturday.
* At 22.0 feet, flow cuts off the lowest residential areas downstream
above Calallen for days or weeks. Numerous secondary roads and low
bridges are under water, from below Bluntzer to below Calallen.

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 6:21 PM CDT Oct. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
west central Jim Wells County in south central Texas...
northwestern Kleberg County in south central Texas...

* until 815 PM CDT.

* At 617 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Three to
four inches of rain have fallen across the area throughout the day.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Alice, Ben Bolt, Alice acres, Palito Blanco and Lake Alice.

Additional rainfall of up to two inches may be possible over an area
already saturated from previous rainfall. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
