... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM EST this
evening...

* what... narrow bands of lake effect snow affect the area into
this afternoon. Plan on slippery Road conditions. Additional
snow accumulations of up to 2 inches are expected, with the
greatest amounts across western portions of the advisory area.

* Where... Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie counties.

* When... until 6 PM EST Wednesday.

* Additional details... be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times. Maximum snowfall rates up to one inch per hour expected
within the most intense snow bands.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for lake effect snow Means Lake effect
snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas.
Use caution when traveling. The latest Road conditions for the
state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.



Wind Advisory
Issued: 3:27 AM EST Dec. 13, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 7 am this morning to 7 PM
EST this evening...

* locations... Mohawk and Schoharie valleys, eastern Catskills,
greater capital district, northern and central Taconics and
Berkshires.

* Winds... west to northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing... 7 am to 7 PM Wednesday.

* Impacts... downed trees, tree limbs and power lines. Scattered
power outages are expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be
31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of
these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra
precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use
caution until the winds subside.
