... Freezing fog advisory remains in effect until 11 am MST this
* location... the Chaves County plains in southeastern New
Mexico, including Roswell.
* Timing... now through the morning hours.
* Visibility... periodic reductions in visibility to less than
one quarter of a mile.
* Local impacts... very low visibility will create hazardous
travel conditions. In addition, black ice may develop as a
thin glaze of ice is deposited on some roads.
A freezing fog advisory means visibility will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. Freezing fog creates very
hazardous driving conditions. People are advised to avoid travel
if possible. If travel is necessary, slow down, use your low beam
headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Be
especially cautious for black ice on bridges and overpasses.
