Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 3:34 PM MDT Jul. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
north central Cibola County in west central New Mexico...

* until 630 PM MDT.

* At 333 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly.

* Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of north central
Cibola County.
This will impact the Diener Canyon and Bluewater wild fire burn
scars. Some locations impacted due to the Diener Canyon scar
include Forest roads 480 and 504 as well as ojo Redondo campground
and Post Office Flat. Some locations impacted due to the
Bluewater scar include State Road 612 and Forest Road 178,
Bluewater creek, Bluewater Lake State Park and Bluewater parking
area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

* until 515 PM MDT.

* At 320 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Arroyo and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Catron
County.
