... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 2 PM EST this
afternoon...

* what... mixed precipitation continuing through the morning hours.
An additional 1 to 2 inches of snow and sleet will be possible
in the mountains, with an inch or less across the foothills. A
couple hundredths of an inch of ice could accumulate in the
highest elevations.

* Where... northern portions of the mountains and Piedmont of
North Carolina.

* When... until 2 PM EST this afternoon.

* Additional details... lingering snow, sleet, and light icing, may
result in additional power outages. Travel could remain nearly
impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning
commute.
