Areal Flood Warning

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Stokes County in north central North Carolina...
Rockingham County in north central North Carolina...
Caswell County in north central North Carolina...

* until 630 am EDT Tuesday

* at 635 PM EDT, gauges along the Dan River were reporting flooding
at both Pine Hall and Wentworth in an area that has received at
least four inches of rain so far from this event, with additional
moderate to heavy rain moving over the area currently. At Pine
Hall, the river was at 22.2 feet after reaching a crest around
22.6 a few hours ago. Flood stage is 18.0 feet. The additional
rain moving over the area may prompt a secondary crest. At
Wentworth, the river was at 19.5 feet and rising. Flood stage is
19.0 feet. Additionally, flooding was reported in the area of
Eden, NC. A bridge was underwater along Route 14, Harrington
Highway, just south of Eden.

and Madison.
