Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 8:40 PM CDT Apr. 30, 2017 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1115 am CDT Monday for
Bourbon... northern Crawford... Hickory... northeastern Barton...
Cedar... Benton... northwestern Polk... Vernon... St. Clair...
northwestern Camden... Morgan and northern Dade counties...

At 839 PM CDT, the Department of Transportation reported flooding
continuing across the area. Many low water crossings remain in
flood with Road closures. Doppler radar estimated between three and
seven inches of rainfall occurred with this storm system.

Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route v at Weaubleau creek east of Flemington...
Route v at Deer Creek near Hastain...
Route dd at Knobby creek 6 miles northeast of Edwards...
Route M at Bear Creek east of Stockton...
and Route j at Brush Creek 6 miles west of Collins.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 39.5 feet by
around midnight then begin falling.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 45.6 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Wednesday
evening.
* Impact... at 45.0 feet... moderate flooding begins at the gage site.

* at 6:45 am Sunday the stage was 25.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 30.4 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday early
afternoon.
* Impact... at 31.0 feet... major flooding occurs at the gage site.
Flood waters backs up along the White Creek which affects Logan
Road north of downtown Nevada.
