Blizzard Warning
Issued: 6:30 PM CST Feb. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to
6 PM CST Sunday...

* what... blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of
2 to 5 inches expected late tonight into Sunday morning. Winds
gusting as high as 50 mph on Sunday. Blizzard conditions are not
expected to develop until during the day Sunday.

* Where... southern Cook and Southern Lake counties.

* When... from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Sunday.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle.
