Winter Storm Watch
Issued: 4:22 AM EST Jan. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Monday afternoon through
late Monday night...

* what... heavy snow possible with snow possibly mixing with
freezing drizzle at times. Plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the evening commute on Monday. Total snow
accumulations in excess of 6 inches are possible by daybreak
Tuesday. The snowfall will be heaviest during Monday afternoon
and evening. A thin glaze of ice is possible if freezing
drizzle occurs.

* Where... Alger, Luce, southern Schoolcraft and northern
Schoolcraft counties.

* When... from Monday afternoon through late Monday night.

* Additional details... significant reductions in visibility are
possible. Because the snow will be wet and heavy, snow removal
will be more difficult, and the wet, slushy snow accumulation on
roads will make travel especially hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
