will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will
result in minor flooding in the advisory area, and Rapid River
rises may occur as much of the rain this evening will fall as
runoff.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lexington, Richmond, Georgetown, Frankfort, Boone, Nicholasville,
Winchester, Danville, Shelbyville and Bardstown.

Additional rainfall of up to 1 inch is expected over the area this
evening. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* through late tonight

* widespread rains today, followed by storms during the evening,
moving over wet ground may lead to local flooding and flash
flooding.

* Expect flooding in poor drainage areas and near small streams.
Larger streams that are already high or in flood may rise
further. Flooding may occur quickly, especially in the
expected storms this evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 4 am EST /3 am CST/ to 7 PM EST
/6 PM CST/ Sunday.

* Timing... late tonight through Sunday.

* Winds... sustained west winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to
around 45 mph.

* Impacts... strong wind gusts may cause weakened tree branches to
fall, and could result in damage to property or isolated power
outages. With well saturated grounds in place, small, weakly
rooted trees may be knocked down by these strong winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of over 40 mph are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles on north south oriented
roads. Use extra caution.
