... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* what... mixed precipitation. An area of freezing rain will move
north into the area by midday. Isolated thunderstorms will be
possible in south central Kansas and could produce periods of
moderate freezing rain and sleet. Additional sleet accumulations
of less than one-half inch can be expected with additional ice
accumulations of one to two-tenths of an inch.

* Where... portions of central, south central and southeast Kansas.
The greatest risk for additional ice accumulations will reside
along and just west of the Kansas Turnpike.

* When... until 6 PM CST this evening.

* Additional details... the ice will result in difficult travel
conditions through the afternoon. Be prepared for reduced
visibilities at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
