... Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST tonight...
* timing... strong northwesterly winds will rapidly increase late
this afternoon and persist into the overnight hours.
* Winds... sustained winds of 30 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50
mph likely at times.
* Impacts... these strong winds will lead to difficult driving
conditions, especially for high profile vehicles. Small
objects may be blown around or damaged by the wind. Some
blowing snow could occur along the Interstate 335 corridor
this evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds from 30 to 39 mph
and/or gusts from 45 to 57 mph are likely. Steps should be taken
to secure any lawn furniture or light weight objects and use
extra caution when driving.
