Issued: 3:45 PM CST Feb. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect until midnight CST
tonight...

* what... blizzard conditions occurring into tonight. Total snow
accumulations around 2 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of a
light glaze expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
Significant blowing and drifting snow expected to produce
whiteout conditions.

* Where... portions of central, east central and northeast Kansas.

* When... until midnight CST tonight.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle.
