* temperature... pre dawn low temperatures in the lower to middle
30s. Valleys and hollows sheltered from the wind will be the
most susceptible to frost.

* Impacts... frost could damage unprotected sensitive vegetation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A frost advisory means that frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor
plants may be damaged if left uncovered.




Flood Warning
Issued: 9:52 PM CDT Apr. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at j.T. Myers dam
* until Wednesday morning.
* At 9:00 PM Thursday the stage was 36.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage late on Monday and continue to
rise to near 37.2 feet by late on Tuesday. The river will
fall below flood stage Wednesday morning.
* Impact... at 37.0 feet... minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Mount Vernon
* until Thursday April 26.
* At 6:00 am Thursday the stage was 34.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
rise to near 38.0 feet by early Tuesday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 40.0 feet... farm land and some main roads are flooded in
places southwest and west of Mt. Vernon.
