The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* Until Saturday March 02.
* At 8:45 am Saturday the stage was 22.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... it will continue to fall to below flood stage by Friday
evening.
* At 22.9 feet... water begins to flow over River Road just north of
fifth street in The Mount Carmel area.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Evansville.
* Until Tuesday March 05.
* At 9:00 am Saturday the stage was 42.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 43.0 feet by
Saturday March 4. The river will fall below flood stage
Monday March 5.
* Impact... at 45.0 feet... many County roads are flooded and some are
impassable.

the Ohio River at j.T. Myers dam
* until further notice.
* At 8:00 am Saturday the stage was 48.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 47.4 feet
by tomorrow morning.
* Impact... at 49.0 feet... the top of the protection is reached at j.T.
Myers lock and dam.

the Ohio River at Mount Vernon
* until further notice.
* At 6:00 am Saturday the stage was 44.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 44.2 feet
by tomorrow morning.
* Impact... at 45.0 feet... large portions of point township in Posey
County are flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at New Harmony.
* Until Friday morning.
* At 7:30 am Saturday the stage was 18.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
early Friday morning.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... Harmonie State Park is closed. Surrounding
bottomland is flooded.

Wind Advisory
Issued: 3:47 PM CST Feb. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to noon
CST Sunday...

* timing... strong westerly winds are expected across southwest
Illinois and southeast Missouri by around midnight tonight.
These winds will then spread east into southwest Indiana and
northwest Kentucky during the early morning hours. The strongest
wind gusts are expected to occur generally north of a line
running from Perryville Missouri to Harrisburg Illinois to
Calhoun Kentucky line.

* Winds... will be sustained from the west between 15 and 25 mph
with gusts of 40 and 45 mph expected.

* Impacts... these winds will be blowing from west to east and
could cause issues for drivers of high profile vehicles
traveling north or south through area. Given the extremely
saturated soil, some trees may be toppled, which could cause
some power outages. Any loose or unsecured objects left outdoors
will likely be tossed by the winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are expected to
reach 30 mph or greater for longer than one hour... or wind gusts
are expected to reach 40 mph for any duration.
