Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 10:24 PM PST Feb. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 am to 4 PM
PST Thursday...

* what... light, but low elevation snow expected. Plan on slippery
Road conditions, including during the morning commute on
Thursday. Total snow accumulations of up to 1 to 4 inches.

* Where... much of interior Humboldt County generally above 1000'
in elevation. Heaviest accumulations likely in south-central
portions of the County, particularly around Kneeland and Berry
Summit on Highway 299. In addition to Highway 299, light
accumulations are expected along Highway 36, Highway 96, and
many other rural roadways.

* When... 4 am to 4 PM Thursday.

* Additional details... slow down, allow extra time and be
prepared for changing conditions. Check the latest forecasts
and call 1-800-427-7623 for current Road conditions and chain
requirements before traveling. Be alert for rock slides in
mountainous terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
