... Excessive heat watch remains in effect from Tuesday morning
through Thursday evening...
* high temperatures... daytime high temperatures will range from
80-92 degrees at the immediate coast to 95-108 degrees inland.
The hottest days are expected to be Tuesday and Wednesday.
* Impacts... increased potential for serious heat-related
illnesses, especially for the Young and elderly, those
performing outdoor activities, as well as those without access
to air conditioning. Increased potential for power outages.
Never, ever, leave people or pets in enclosed vehicles, even for
a short period of time.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
